ONAIR Build Series: Azad's Bagged C6 Corvette

ONAIR Build Series / Chevrolet

Leaf springs out. A whole new stance.

Some builds make you stop and look twice. Azad's C6 Corvette is one of them. An iridescent turquoise finish, polished wheels, black accents and vertical doors already gave this car plenty of character. Our part was bringing it down to a stance that matched the rest of the build.

At ONAIR, we fitted this Corvette with ONAIR air suspension and a leaf spring delete, paired with 2V management and two 1.5-gallon seamless tanks in a stacked layout. From the original suspension on the shop floor to the finished car outside, here's a closer look at the transformation.

01 / IN THE SHOPBehind the finished look

Before the aired-out photos came the work underneath. With the wheels off and the C6 on the lift, the focus shifted from the bodywork to the suspension. These shop shots show the build in progress, with the bright green calipers and that unmistakable Corvette shape still stealing some attention.

02 / OUT WITH THE OLDThe leaf spring delete

A key part of this C6's conversion was the leaf spring delete. The change started underneath the car, with the original suspension coming out and the new ONAIR air suspension going in.

The side-by-side hardware photo tells that part of the story best: the original shock next to the new ONAIR air suspension assembly. The removed leaf spring is another piece of the change that disappears from view once the wheels are back on.

03 / THE AIR SETUPDual tanks. Stacked style.

Azad's setup uses two seamless tanks, each with a 1.5-gallon capacity, for 3 gallons combined. The stacked arrangement gives the air setup its own distinct look, with the matching polished tanks adding another considered detail to the build.

Azad chose the 2V air management to control the air setup. It rounds out a combination that puts as much thought into the supporting hardware as the suspension itself.

04 / THE FINISHED C6The stance brings it all together

Back on its wheels and aired out, the whole look comes together. The polished wheel faces sit close beneath the arches, the black splitter follows the floor and the turquoise finish picks up green and gold highlights under the shop lights.

It's the same car with a completely different presence. The close-up photos capture the fitment, while the outdoor shot lets the finish speak for itself. This is the part of the build that makes you turn around for one more look.
