A red 2008 Porsche Cayman S, a hidden frunk installation and a stance that changes the entire look of the car.
AJ's Cayman called for a different approach. The team wanted to give this mid-engine Porsche adjustable air suspension without putting a display in the passenger compartment. That meant finding a home for the air supply and controls up front, keeping them organized, accessible and out of sight.

01 / THE DESIGN BRIEF
EVERYTHING HAS ITS PLACE.
On a Cayman, the front luggage compartment creates an opportunity for a compact, carefully packaged system. AJ wanted a straightforward layout that avoided taking over the cabin. ONAIR installed a 3-gallon seamless tank, two black 480 compressors, automatic water traps and concealed 2V management in the frunk.
Packaging matters as much as appearance. Air supply needs secure mounting, safe plumbing and wiring, access for inspection, and attention to heat and moisture. Those practical considerations helped determine where each component belonged.
02 / UNDERNEATH THE PORSCHE
FITMENT IS MORE THAN THE DROP.
Installing the front air struts was the relatively direct part of this project. The rear demanded more patience. On this Cayman, accessing the rear suspension upper mounts required removing interior plastics, trim and other panels before the hardware could be reached properly.
The extra disassembly is easy to overlook in a finished-car photo, but it illustrates the care that goes into an installation. Clearance, mounting, the usable suspension travel and the final alignment need attention before deciding a setup is road-ready.
The management stays hidden, but the process behind it is anything but an afterthought. AJ's build was planned around the Porsche itself rather than forcing a generic trunk layout into an unusual space.
03 / THE FINAL STANCE
A NEW LOOK. MORE TO COME.
Once the system was installed and the car could settle into its parked stance, the Cayman took on a noticeably different presence. The original article also records AJ moving toward custom wheels: Kumal from E6 Forged visited ONAIR at pickup to take measurements for that next phase.
