ONAIR Build Series: AJ’s Bagged Porsche Cayman S

ONAIR Build Series:

AJ’s Bagged 2008 Porsche Cayman S

We’re excited to share AJ’s red 2008 Porsche Cayman S. This was a unique air ride project because we designed everything to fit cleanly inside the frunk. The result is a smooth, modern setup that upgrades both the look and the performance of this Cayman.

The Frunk Air Ride Setup

AJ wanted a simple and reliable layout that didn’t take up interior space, so we built the full air suspension system inside the frunk. Everything fits clean and tight with no wasted room. The frunk now holds:

  • A 3-gallon seamless air tank
  • Dual black ONAIR 480 compressors
  • Automatic water traps for easy moisture control
  • A fully hidden ONAIR 2V management system

The setup looks factory-clean and still leaves space for small storage. The hard work paid off with a clean and balanced look.

Front Suspension — Smooth and Simple

The front suspension on the Cayman was the easy part. Everything came apart smoothly, and the air struts dropped right in. Because our ONAIR suspension is smaller and more modern compared to older OEM components, there’s more room and better clearance once everything is installed.

Rear Suspension — Time-Consuming but Worth It

The rear of the Porsche was where most of the work took place. Book hours show around six hours for the job, but we went far beyond that to ensure everything was done properly.

We had to remove a lot of the interior plastics, trunk trim, and paneling to reach the top bolts for the rear suspension. Even though it took time, this approach made the job clean, safe, and correct. Once everything was installed, the new ONAIR components fit better than the old factory parts, which were bulkier and outdated.

The Final Look

Once the car touched the ground, the difference was immediately clear. The stance is lower, cleaner, and more aggressive. The Cayman now airs out perfectly and rides comfortably when driving.

The transformation is huge — and AJ could feel it right away. He was extremely happy with the final result and excited to start the next stage of his build.

Custom Wheels Already on the Way

On the day AJ picked up his car from our shop in Stouffville, he had Kumal from E6 Forged come by to take custom wheel measurements. AJ already planned to upgrade the stock wheels, and air suspension gives him more freedom to choose the exact fitment he wants.

This build created an awesome new relationship, and we’re happy to have AJ as part of the growing ONAIR community.

The ONAIR Touch

Every build we do is done with care and attention to detail. This Cayman S was no different. We made sure the setup was clean, hidden, and properly installed from start to finish. We’re proud of how this project turned out and happy to welcome AJ to the ONAIR family.
