ONAIR Build Series: A Bagged Acura Integra Type S

ONAIR Build Series / Acura Integra Type S

Big presence. Hidden hardware.

Black paint, bronze wheels and red Type S details. This Integra already had a strong look, but aired out in the shop, everything lands differently. The arches sit close over the wheels, the splitter follows the floor and the rear view is every bit as aggressive as the front.

Our part in the build goes beyond the stance. This Acura Integra Type S runs ONAIR Performance Air Suspension with 2V management, two 1.5-gallon seamless tanks and a single compressor. The part you might miss? The air supply is tucked into a hidden under-floor trunk setup instead of being mounted on display.

The setup you don't see at first.

Not every air ride build needs its tanks to be the centrepiece of the trunk. Here, the hardware stays beneath the cargo floor. The two slim seamless tanks sit in separate recessed sections, with the single compressor packaged between them.

At 1.5 gallons per tank, the paired layout provides 3 gallons of total tank capacity in a low-profile arrangement. ONAIR 2V management handles control of the air suspension, rounding out the setup without turning the hatch into a hardware display.

The uncovered shop photo gives a closer look at how the components fit together. Once the floor is back in place, the tanks and compressor stay out of sight. The stance makes the statement; the trunk keeps things discreet.

02 / Factory vs. ONAIR

The transformation starts underneath.

We photographed the original suspension alongside the new ONAIR components because the hardware deserves a place in the story, too. The factory springs, front strut and rear damper sit next to the new front air strut, separate rear damper and rear air spring.

The comparison makes the change easy to follow: steel coil springs on one side, air springs on the other. The black bodies, yellow accents and red adjustment collars give the new Performance Air Suspension hardware its unmistakable ONAIR look.

These are the parts that disappear behind the wheels once installed. Seen beside the car in the workshop, they connect the work underneath to the finished air-out.

03 / The details

Black, bronze and a proper air-out.

The bronze multi-spoke wheels bring warmth to the black bodywork, while the red brake calipers and Type S badges tie the details together. Under the shop lights, the paint picks up long reflections across the fenders and doors, making the change in stance even more noticeable.

Up close, the front and rear wheel photos show how the arches frame the wheels at air-out. Step back along the side and the whole look connects: low skirts, tight fitment and a body that sits close to the floor.

04 / The finished look

Not everything needs to be on display.

From the front splitter to the rear wing and three centre exhaust outlets, this Integra has plenty to look at. The air ride brings those details together without making the supporting hardware the focus of the trunk.

That contrast is what makes this build stand out: a bold exterior, a discreet air supply setup and the ONAIR hardware working out of sight.

A Type S with its own identity. Another build we're proud to have been part of.
